It was the beginning of a new year,
I came, but I have not yet arrived
To a place I imagined to be a new home
Somewhere I felt invisible like a shadow
Could be my home someday, but not today
Again, everything seems out of place
Jacket and hoodies became my spokesmen
While the wind speaks in tongue of frost
I never could have imagined such cold breeze
Well, it’s winter, they say
The fast-paced lifestyle became alarming
While everyone seemed to have an appointment
I’m the only one who seemed to need direction
While struggling with jet lag syndrome
My identity feels revoked
Welcome to a new identity
A new phase of reborn and chapter
Each page begins with a new experience
That contains reflectional lines
And I begin my writing here
